Biography
Dr Rhodrick Nyasha Musakuro is a Lecturer in International Human Resource Management (HRM) at the University of Sunderland, UK, and a former lecturer at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. He holds a PhD in HRM, with a thesis focusing on the sustainable adoption of e-health tools for digital mental health services in South African higher education institutions. His Master’s, Bachelor’s, and National Diploma in HRM were all awarded cum laude (with distinction) from CPUT. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Higher Education) at the University of Sunderland (2026–present), further strengthening his pedagogical expertise. Dr Musakuro has published extensively across HRM, technology adoption, employee well-being, and sustainability, including multiple book chapters and journal articles. He serves as Deputy Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Business and Human Resource Management programme and Module Leader for two key modules: Developing Human Resources & Professional Practice (MSc) and Cognitive, Creative Learning & Development (undergraduate). He has successfully supervised 12 MSc students to completion and currently supervises three PhD candidates. Additionally, he acts as an external examiner and supervisor for PhD and Master’s programmes across several institutions and reviews for several accredited journals. His scholarly profile includes competitive research funding, numerous academic honours and awards, international conference presentations, and several manuscripts under review in leading journals. He holds professional membership with the South African Board of People Practices.
