Biography
My profession is Human Resources, practiced in the business of Higher Education. To date, my 22-year academic career comprises of academic administration and management, teaching and learning, work-integrated learning, community engagement and partnerships, research, and quality assurance, all acquired through various job roles. Interacting and managing diverse student and staff populations within multi-cultural and multi-national environments has moulded me into a highly adaptable academic and leader who fosters diversity, equity and inclusion. As an internationally registered HR Practitioner with Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) in British Columbia & Yukon Canada, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) United Kingdom, and Master HR Professional in Learning and Development with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP), my expanded networks ensure that contemporary HR professional standards and practices are integrated into HR curriculum and research projects. Recently, as Associate Professor in Leadership and People Management, I contributed to the global talent development of the Vancouver workforce, promoting compliance with CPHR best practices while actively seeking innovative initiatives for the future world of work.
