Abstract: The distribution system is an important component of the power system since it distributes energy and collects income. Unavoidably, the distribution system is prone to fault conditions. When these fault conditions arise, the power lines of the distribution system are interrupted, and consumers are left without energy for hours, depending on the sort of network failure. Among the distribution system's customers are hospitals, residential areas, industry, agriculture, and schools. When users are deprived of service, power providers lose revenue and struggle to meet reliability requirements. When electric utilities fail to deliver energy in compliance with the contract's conditions, they are subject to fines. Traditionally, electric companies identified disruptions using a problem call system, in which a customer suffering a power loss would contact the company and report the outage. Field operators would be dispatched from control centers to restore electricity. This strategy leads in customers being without power supply during outages for an extended period of time. As a result, this study devised an auto-reclose technique for reconfiguring the 22kV distribution system in the event of a fault. in utilizing the DIgSILENT software. The designed auto-reclose technique is simulated and tested in the DIgSILENT simulation environment.
