The dynamic time history analysis has been performed on 103-year-old brick and stone masonry tower of the Senate Hall building of Allahabad University using a macro modelling approach. It is an excellent example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. Non-destructive tests (bar locator, UPV test and rebound hammer test) have been performed to evaluate the approximate material properties of the tower. A three-dimensional (3D) finite element model is prepared using the data gathered during in situ survey, visual inspection, photographs and available drawings on the ANSYS Workbench (ANSYS 14.0). The tower exhibits different geometrical characteristics in terms of slenderness, the cross-section area of different floors, openings, wall thickness, floors and internal irregularities. Dynamic analysis has been performed using simulated time history for Allahabad fault using stochastic finite fault model. The obtained PGA of 0.07 g is used to analyse the tower. The response to the tower is present in the form of acceleration and displacement.en_US
