The array consists of a common reflector element, two feeding elements and two director elements, all above a perfect electrically conducting ground plane. All elements have the same dielectric constants and dimensions. Beam steering is achieved by changing the excitation phase of one of the feeder elements. The array’s geometry and excitation was optimized for constant flux density at a satellite ground station for low earth orbit satellite communication. The array is capable of steering to a scan angleof ±67° with a maximum gain above 10 dBi. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/11189/5293 |
