Biography
I am head of pediatric neurology at Tygerberg Academic hospital and Stellenbosch University. As a training centre for child neurology, I have, and am, supervising postgraduate students (since 2010) masters n=11 completed, with n=2 currently completing) as well as 2 PhD students. I have published on the following topics: Neuroimaging of Childhood TBM; Outcome of childhood TBM; Immune modulation in Childhood TBM; Iron-deficiency subtype of pediatric Multiple sclerosis; Neuroimaging in childhood HIV as well as description of late onset HIV encephalopathy in children with long-standing virologic suppression.
