Biography
Dr. Joseph Omeiza Alao is an Applied Geophysicist, a leading environmental geophysicist, and data-driven hydrogeologist whose work bridges scientific innovation and sustainable development across the globe. He is a senior lecturer at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, and founder of SmartGeoTeque Limited—a consultancy specializing in geophysical surveys, groundwater modeling, and environmental diagnostics. Dr. Alao’s research spans groundwater sustainability, machine learning–augmented climate modeling, hydrogeochemistry, and near-surface geophysical methods, with applications in aquifer vulnerability, landfill contamination, and seismic risk assessment. He has authored numerous multi-peer-reviewed publications and led multi-institutional and community projects.
