Academic Profile Sibusiso Thwala is an education specialist and policy advocate with a Master’s in Education (Inclusive Education) from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT, 2024). His thesis, "The Impact of Teaching Inference Skills in Grade 10 Financial Mathematics During a Ten-Week Intervention Programme", investigated how explicit comprehension strategy instruction enhances higher-order thinking in mathematics. Grounded in Vygotsky’s social constructivism and Bloom’s taxonomy, the study demonstrated a measurable improvement in learners’ critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, offering actionable recommendations for curriculum design and teacher training in South Africa’s FET band.
