There were no generally accepted free online SEO measurement tools which made it difficult for businesses to measure the SEO development and return on investment. Method. The author has chosen five free non-Google measurement tools and one test popular content-rich website with a certain theme. Results and Analysis. The results have shown that even though the measurement tools were showing same metrics in some cases, most of the times the numbers were different and even very distant. The analysis of these results has shown that most of the free SEO measurement tools can’t be called reliable. Conclusion. Despite the fact, that the online tools are not reliable and have varied in results, some of the features can certainly be used for the specific tasks and should be studied and used by webmasters.
