Prof. J. Dubihlela is an expert banker-turned-academic, currently Head of Department and Associate Professor in Internal Auditing. Before joining the School of Accounting, he was a Professor in the Faculty of Business & Economic Sciences at Nelson Mandela University (NMMU). His work expertise includes 15 years managerial experience within the banking sector. His industry expertise is invaluable for his academic and research endeavours. He is a recipient of various research achievement awards, research recognition awards and a Rector’s annual research award. Although he bears well-grounded research and supervision experience, with progressive collaborations nationally and internationally, he esteems lifelong learning, and recognises that increase in the stock of knowledge is all about continuous learning. He also prides a strong network within large corporates, having delivered key interventions and facilitations within financial services industry.
