Abstract

A Guide to Managing Public Policy places the management of public policy within the context of transitional South Africa. This important, accessible text is aimed not only at undergraduates but also those who encounter public policy on a day-to-day basis. The book covers a broad spectrum of topics and all the chapters are practice orientated. Interesting aspects such as a history of policy analysis and the relationship between law making and policy making are included, as are models of policy making and policy analysis. The author team is made up of academics, all of whom have had extensive experience within the public sector.
