Due to rapid increase in utilization of power electronics, appliances for energy distribution and generation is in demand. The traditional devices provide degraded performance, which pave the path for advanced compensated devices. Distribution Static Synchronous Compensator (DSTATCOM), which can be dynamically controlled and helps to improve power quality (PQ) problems. This paper discusses the various control methods required to improve dynamic capabilities of DSTATCOM for various applications.en_US
