dc.description.abstractThis paper discusses the impact of confidant relationship or person’s connection’s to an organization such as the clothing and textile industry in South Africa has on employee’s job involvement. The study employed positivist research paradigm using quantitative method in the form of a self-administered, pen and paper questionnaire. The survey instrument measured the levels of job involvement (the degree to which employee is involved in his/her job), turnover intentions and confidant relationship. The outcome provides the clothing and textile industry the guidance as to the factors associated with confidant relationship, job involvement and voluntary turnover.en_US
