Abstract: CPUT Libraries developed an existing Course in Information Literacy and embedded it into a learning management system with the aim of creating a blended learning environment for the course and an added resource for students to be used in various ways.
Description: The Course in Information Literacy: The CIL curriculum covers a number of concepts for students to learn, understand and apply in their daily lives, academic work and later in the workplace. To address the various learning styles and disabilities, it was decided to develop the various concepts in a number of different formats which includes eBooks, Audios, Infographics and Videos.  This was to ensure that the learning material are packaged with various sensory representation in mind and to be downloadable on campus on a device for easy access off campus when internet access might not be available. The CIL curriculum includes Module 1 : Search Strategy, Module 2: Information Sources and Tools, Module 3: Evaluate Information, Module 4: Copyright and Plagiarism and Module 5: Referencing.</description>
