Biography
Dr. Elizabeth Olajumoke Olabisi Oyewole is an ethnobotanist with research interests spanning ethnobotany, phytomedicine, and pest management using botanicals. She holds a Ph.D. in Botany, an M.Sc. in Pharmacognosy , and a B.Sc. in Botany . Her work focuses on the documentation and scientific validation of indigenous plant knowledge, with particular emphasis on the use of botanicals in sustainable pest control and ethnomedicinal applications. Dr. Oyewole has conducted extensive research on the bioactivity of plant-derived compounds against insect pests and is passionate about promoting eco-friendly approaches to pest management. She has also contributed to community-based ethnobotanical studies that preserve local knowledge and support biodiversity conservation. Her broader research goal is to bridge traditional botanical wisdom with modern scientific approaches to advance sustainable agriculture, natural product development, and environmental health.
